Royals Old Letter

Association President WO (Ret’d) Glen Moore CD Blog:

I saw this Old Letter which was written by a member of The Royal Regiment of Canada during WWII in the Street Level Front Window of The Royal York Hotel one day while walking past it a few years ago. I was curious, so I went in and spoke to a lady and she agreed to let me look and view this letter which I scanned to PDF (see attached link below) and others that they had in a scrap book. This was really amazing, she also told me abit about the history of how this came about. There was Royal York Hotel Telephone Girls which worked a telephone switch board (calls from soldiers to family and sweethearts) and also coordinating delivery of supplies to them overseas during WWII. This included candy, cigarettes, and various other items that they asked and requested for.
