Dear Regimental Family,
The Royal Regiment of Canada’s St. George Chapel at Saint James Cathedral Church is now complete. As the image suggests, it is a place of serenity and sanctuary. Eyes that drift heavenward are met gently by former Regimental Colours.
The Commanding Officer and The Royal Regiment of Canada Foundation would like to invite you to memorialize a beloved family member or surname in the St. George chapel, via the commission of a family nameplate.
Thirty brass plates are available – strictly to members of the Regimental Family. Each plate will be affixed to the back of a chapel chair, a permanent recognition of your family or loved one and your support of the regiment.
A donation in the sum of $1000 to The Royal Regiment of Canada Foundation will enshrine your plate in the chapel for perpetuity. Proceeds go directly to the Regiment and support the cost of our chapel and our new regimental history. A tax receipt is available. Plate inscriptions should be limited to no more than 40 characters and are to explicitly recognize a family name or family member. For example: In memory of MWO K. Stafford CD (L.R.D.G.) or The Stafford Family
Please contact Gary Stafford at 705 435 4141 with questions or to indicate your interest. The Royal Regiment of Canada Foundation and I are honored to extend this invitation to you.
Thank you for your consideration and support.
Sincerely,
Gary Stafford BGen (ret’d) OMM CD
Honorary Lieutenant Colonel
